About Natalie Parker
Natalie Parker lives in Medowie, NSW, in the picturesque Hunter Valley.
Her studio, amongst the gum trees where she paints much of her exquisite detailed studies of Australian wildlife, is in close proximity to where she sits and observes.
Parker displayed an early talent in art at school and went on to study art in Newcastle.
She continued painting in a variety of commercial situations before concentrating full-time on wildlife art in 1994.
Since then she has painted many endangered species, thus helping to raise public awareness of the plight of some of our Australian animals.
She has also honed her skills with gouache and now works almost exclusively with acrylics. A bright future is predicted for this young artist, who shows great promise as one of our exciting up-and-coming talents.
